Ryan Mahoney

Ryan Mahoney joined Stephens Insurance in 2013 and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Advisor on the Risk Management team in the Property & Casualty division. His role is to produce risk financing solutions to enhance risk transfer, risk retention, and captive solutions and to advise the placement, management, and delivery of $60M of insurance premium for domestic and international clients.

Mahoney has worked 10 years in the design and implementation for large casualty programs. He offers a unique perspective, coming intercompany from Stephens Research, where he spent three years as a Sell-Side Equity Research Associate covering the Transportation Sector (specifically Truckload & Less-than-truckload companies). He worked closely with executive teams analyzing the companies during that time, including risks facing the industry and how to mitigate these risks. This experience, along with the last ten years spent evaluating fully insured programs, large retention options and alternative risk transfer methods has proven valuable when structuring risk programs and benchmarking results for current and prospective clients.

Mahoney earned a BA in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College and is Series 7 & 63 licensed.
