Mark McBryde
Executive Vice President and Manager of Public Finance and Leasing Departments

Since 1974, Mr. McBryde has been a member of the Public Finance Department at Stephens. His responsibility for managing the Department's daily operations began in 1994. Mr. McBryde's time in Public Finance has been spent serving as financial advisor and underwriter to public utilities, hospitals, municipalities, counties, universities, local school boards and industrial issuers in Arkansas and throughout the region. Mr. McBryde has also been involved with assisting state and local issuers with the implementation of necessary legislation, development of financial regulations and the origination of uniquely structured transactions. He is a 1974 graduate of Hendrix College with a B.A. in Business and Economics.


Bobbie Nichols
Senior Vice President

Ms. Nichols joined Stephens in 1977 and has 25 years experience with the firm’s Municipal Trading and Public Finance Departments. During her tenure in Trading, she was involved in Stephens underwriting transactions, including General Market Syndicate. Since joining the Public Finance Department in 1992, Ms. Nichols has been the Stephens banker for financings in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia. She received a degree in business from Henderson State University in Arkansas. Ms. Nichols is a member of the Southern Municipal Finance Society and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.


Chris Angulo
Vice President

Mr. Angulo has over ten years experience with the firm’s Public Finance Department as the Senior Financial Analyst. He attended Kansas State University and is a member of the National Association of Municipal Analysts. Prior to joining Stephens in 1990, Mr. Angulo has more than 20 years of experience in evaluating and structuring complex municipal transactions on a national basis. He is an integral member of the banking team, whose main responsibilities include preparation of debt models, cash flows and providing all quantitative support. During his tenure at Stephens, he has been the Senior Financial Analyst on over $5 billion in tax-exempt financings.


Carey Smith
Vice President

Mr. Smith serves as underwriter for various municipalities, counties, universities, hospitals, and public utilities and as financial advisor to several Arkansas school districts. Since 1993, Mr. Smith has worked in various finance related fields. He has four years experience in equipment financing and leasing through his employment at J. A. Riggs Tractor Co., where he held the position of Financial Services Manager. He is a cum laude honor graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.


Jack Truemper
Vice President

Mr. Truemper joined Stephens in 1988 as a sales representative in the Institutional Equity Sales Division. In 1991, he became a member of the Financial Services Group responsible for the sales and marketing of Stephens’ products and services. Mr. Truemper, now a banker for the Public Finance Department, works primarily with municipal taxable and tax-exempt financings and acts as financial advisor for various local school districts in Arkansas. He has managed capital improvement, higher education, utility and sales tax financings. He has a Bachelor or Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.


Dennis  Hunt
Senior Vice President and Manager - Northwest Arkansas Office

Mr. Hunt has served as an investment banker and manager of Stephens’ Northwest Arkansas office in Fayetteville since 1993, providing investment banking services for tax-exempt and taxable financings. He has managed financings for Stephens including utility, education, housing, healthcare, private activity, tourism, and tax-backed bond issues. Mr. Hunt has extensive experience in municipal financings, having served as the Senior Banker to cities throughout Northwest Arkansas. Mr. Hunt holds a Masters degree with honors from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and has completed post-graduate training at Harvard University, the University of Texas, and the University of Virginia.


Kevin Faught
Banker

Mr. Faught recently joined Stephens’ Northwest Arkansas office in Fayetteville as a Public Finance banker. Mr. Faught spent nearly eleven years in municipal management in the states of Arkansas and Missouri and served most recently as the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Branson, Missouri. He worked closely with bankers, financial advisors and bond attorneys during his time in city management. He holds a bachelors degree in business and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.


Charlie Sides
Vice President and Manager, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Office

Mr. Sides joined Stephens Inc. in January of 2001 in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Public Finance office. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and the Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. Prior to joining Stephens, Charlie spent two years practicing law in Washington, D.C., both in private practice and with the United States General Services Administration. His practice involved the areas of legislative, regulatory and government contract law.


Theodore (Ted) W. Jones
Banker

Mr. Jones recently joined Stephens’ Baton Rouge office as a Public Finance banker in January of 2007. Prior to joining Stephens, he served as chief legislative counsel to the Honorable W.J. “Billy” Tauzin (R-LA) in the United States House of Representatives. For the previous five years, Mr. Jones has practiced corporate and securities law in northern California with the law firms of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian LLP. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A. ‘94), The Southern Methodist University School of Law (J.D. ‘98), and the Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M in Securities & Financial Regulation ‘02).


Thomas D. McAnulty
Senior Vice President and Manager, Nashville, Tennessee Office

Mr. McAnulty joined Stephens in July of 2000 to work in the Nashville, Tennessee office. He has over 35 years of experience working with local and state governments in the area of governmental finance. Mr. McAnulty’s focus is financial advisory and underwriting services to cities, counties, school districts, airports, hospitals and public utilities for financing capital improvement projects. He has extensive experience in capital improvements planning and financing, debt structuring, long-term financing with bonds and notes, operating budgets, investments of idle cash funds, fund accounting, educational financing and legal structure, purchasing, state and local government legal structure. He received a BS degree from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and a MS degree from Austin Peay State University.


Samuel E. Crewse
Senior Vice President

Mr. Crewse joined Stephens in July of 2000 to work in the firm's Nashville, Tennessee Public Finance office. He has broad experience as both a financial advisor and underwriter to cities, counties, utility systems, school districts, airports and universities. During the twelve years prior to joining Stephens, Mr. Crewse was involved in over $4 billion in new tax-exempt bond issues. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where he was awarded high honors in the field of economics.


Ashley McAnulty
Banker

Mr. McAnulty joined Stephens Inc. in 2002 in the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee office. He brings with him seven years experience in banking and corporate lending. Mr. McAnulty has knowledge of debt financing and financial analysis of a wide range of tax-exempt and taxable entities in Tennessee. Just prior to joining Stephens, he served for four years as Director of Development at Belmont University. He graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.


Ben Oglesby
Banker

Mr. Oglesby works in the Oklahoma City office and is responsible for underwriting and analysis on housing issues, which includes multi-family, single family, and senior living facilities. He is graduate of the University of Alabama, and did graduate work in economics at the University of Tennessee. Prior to joining Stephens, he was Associate Director in the Public Finance Department at Banc One Capital Markets, Inc. He has also worked in asset management with Bank One’s Private Banking Group and was a member of the retail bond trading team at Fidelity Investments.


Ken Oilschlager
Vice President, Jackson, Mississippi Office

Mr. Oilschlager has enjoyed an impressive career in economic development, serving in leadership positions with statewide Chambers of Commerce in Kentucky, South Carolina and also in Shreveport, Greenwood and Canton / Madison County, MS. He also served as a senior developer for the Mississippi Department of Economic Development (Mississippi Development Authority). While serving in these executive capacities, Mr. Oilschlager worked closely with a variety of municipal issuers, financial advisors, bond attorneys and bankers. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and a graduate and Dean Emeritus of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.


Scott  Johnston
Senior Vice President and Manager, St. Petersburg, Florida Office

Mr. Johnston joined the St. Petersburg, Florida Public Finance office of Stephens Inc. in 2006, bringing with him over 28 years experience in the municipal industry. Prior to joining Stephens, Mr. Johnston was a Managing Director of National Competitive Municipal Underwriting for RBC Dain Rauscher. His industry experience also includes positions as municipal bond trader, salesman, and underwriter. Mr. Johnston has extensive experience in the Florida municipal bond market. As a bond trader, he maintained trading positions for virtually all Florida issuers. As an underwriter or financial advisor, Mr. Johnson worked to bring hundreds of Florida issuers successfully to market. In addition to Florida, his expertise extends to other geographic areas of the country, including particularly the southeast. Mr. Johnson holds a B.A. in Economics from Tulane University.


J Beatty
Banker

Mr. Beatty joined the St. Petersburg, Florida Public Finance office of Stephens Inc. in 2007. He has worked in the municipal industry for the past 5 years. Mr. Beatty has diverse work experience within the investment banking industry, having worked in the underwriting, trading, institutional sales, derivatives, structured products, and banking departments. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Florida, a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the Florida State University, and a M.B.A. in Finance, Real Estate, and Securities Analysis from the University of Florida. Mr. Beatty currently holds the following professional licenses: Series 7 and Series 63.
