Philosophy & Approach

Ed has more than 35 years of wealth management experience. He develops investment strategies tailored to reflect each client’s financial goals and long-term objectives. Ed believes that “Each client deserves time and attention. It is my goal to offer unbiased advice in accordance with the investment policy to which my clients and I agree. My top priority is to help each person position their money for growth in a manner that reflects their risk tolerance, time horizon, and asset allocation preferences.”

Deborah Green, a registered client associate since 2002, supports Ed. Deborah, who has more than 20 years of administrative experience, is an integral part of the team.

Experience & Education

Prior to joining Stephens in 2011, Ed consulted with clients at Shearson/American Express Inc. and Legg Mason Wood Walker Inc., and its successor, Morgan Stanley.

Ed graduated from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He continued his education at Santa Clara University, where he received a Master in Business Administration. He is a graduate of Stephens’ wealth management program, Stephens University, offered through Wake Forest University.

Personal

Ed, who believes in giving back to his community, currently serves as secretary of the board of the Ridgeview Foundation. He previously served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board and on several committees while a member of the Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce. Active in his church, he has served as a deacon and elder as well as on the endowment and property committees.

Ed and his wife, Hettie, have two daughters and three grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren, playing tennis, working in the yard, and visiting shut-ins.
