Richard Sullivan

Philosophy & Approach

Richard has been a member of Stephens Private Client Group since 2011 and has more than 35 years of industry experience. Richard and his partner, Josh Parrish, give their clients sound guidance to help them meet both their short-term goals and long-term objectives. “As a team, our priority is to earn and maintain our clients' trust and confidence through exceptional service and professionalism,” states Richard.

Richard is supported by Jane Siefert, a registered client associate. With more than 30 years of administrative experience, Jane is a vital part of the team.

Experience & Education

Prior to joining Stephens as a Senior Vice President, Richard was a financial advisor and First Vice President at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co, Inc., and its ultimate successor, Morgan Stanley.

Richard graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Drexel University. In addition, he completed Stephens’ advanced wealth management program, Stephens University, offered through Wake Forest University.

He started his career with the accounting firm of Ernst & Ernst, now Ernst & Young.

Personal

Richard and his wife, Nancy, have two children, Kate and Walker. He currently serves as Director of the Winston-Salem Twin City Hosts Lions Club and is a Melvin Jones Award recipient. In his free time, he also enjoys spending time in the mountains, traveling, biking, and skiing.
